Transport Canada Authorized Advanced RPAS Pilot Flight Review
For those who are continuing on to the RPAS Pilot Certificate - Advanced, all prospective pilots must complete a flight review with an authorized Transport Canada Flight Reviewer. 43 Degrees North has been selected as an authorized organization to conduct these reviews. To obtain your RPAS Advanced Pilot Certificate and be admitted to the flight review, the candidate shall have successfully completed and passed the Small Remotely Piloted Aircraft (VLOS) – Advanced Operations exam. The Flight Review is the last step in obtaining your Advanced Pilot Certificate.
The Advanced RPAS Pilot Flight Review which is a combination of demonstrating your RPAS flying skills as well as knowledge on safe flight practices.
The flight review will be a combination of three tasks:
Planning for a theoretic flight somewhere in Canadian airspace
Planning for an actual flight in the test area (this will be provided to you upon confirming a booking time and date)
Demonstrating your actual flying skills, emergency procedures and general knowledge of the regulations governing advanced RPAS operations.
Upon successful completion of this flight review, you will be granted the privilege to pilot an RPAS under advanced RPAS operating rules.
